It is in the city centre of Nancy, close to the train station and the famous Place Stanislas, that the hotel Stanley welcomes travellers and business guests. Ideally located and offering comfortable and well-equipped rooms, our hotel in Nancy is the perfect place to stay.
If you are one of the 3 million tourists who come to discover the former capital of the Duchy of Lorraine every year, our hotel in the centre of Nancy is just a few hundred metres from several unmissable sites.
First of all, you can't miss the three sumptuous 18th century squares listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Place Stanislas, Place de la Carrière and Place d'Alliance. These three squares are today considered to be the most beautiful in Europe.
However, it is the Place Stanislas, a true jewel of French classicism, which is often highlighted. The latter presents a different face according to the seasons, according to the activities (sound and light, urban art, Christmas market, etc.) that are offered there.
A little further west, the Old Town of Nancy opens its doors to you. If some vestiges of the old fortifications of the medieval city are still visible, it is rather the Palace of the Dukes, the Church of the Cordeliers or the many Renaissance hotels that you can admire.
The Ville-Neuve (17th century), simply linked to the Old City by an esplanade with an irregular layout, is worth a look for its checkerboard layout, typical of the new towns of the time.
From the hotel, you can easily go and admire other sites. These include Notre Dame Cathedral, the Government Palace and the Museum of Fine Arts, renowned for its openness to design.
Art Nouveau enthusiasts can take the tramway lines 3 and 4 to the Saurupt and Nancy-Thermal districts. There they will be able to admire splendid residences, among which the most emblematic is the Villa Majorelle.
However, rest assured, if you are not an art lover, Nancy is a city where it is also good to stroll. From our hotel in the centre of Nancy, you will be able to go shopping in complete tranquillity, as the majority of the streets are pedestrianised. Also, several green spaces are available to you, especially the Parc de la Pépinière, where the people of Nancy meet every day.
When travelling to a city by train, whether for business or holiday purposes, it is always a good idea to book a hotel room close to the station. This gives you the opportunity to drop off your luggage quickly and to take possession of the premises as soon as possible.
This is even more true in Nancy because, by its geographical location, is often an ideal stopover for travellers and businessmen alike. Yes, Nancy-Ville railway station, formerly known as Gare Saint-Jean, is located at the crossroads of major rail routes: Paris - Strasbourg and Lyon - Luxembourg.
Also, located 1.5 hours from Paris and less than 2 hours from Luxembourg, Nancy is a city where it is pleasant to make a stopover before going to one of these destinations the next day, the price of a hotel room in Nancy close to the train station being much more affordable.
