Our hotel So'co is ideally located to visit the city of Nice. Our hotel is indeed perfectly served by the tramway line 1 at the Thiers train station, only 550 m from the hotel. But also by buses 57, 64, 70, 71, 75 and 87 whose stop Gare Thiers - Poste is at the foot of the hotel. You will thus have all the leisure to admire the inescapable places of the city... Here is a non-exhaustive list :

● The Promenade des Anglais. If there's one place you think of when you talk about Nice, it's the Promenade des Anglais. Following the curve of the Baie des Anges, this wide palm-lined flower-bedecked avenue was built by an Englishman, the Reverend Lewis Way, hence its name. The bus 87 will take you to the seaside to enjoy the Prom.

● The Castle Hill. This park, accessible on foot from the Vieux Nice or by an Art Deco lift from the Quai des Etats-Unis, is a real green setting for the people of Nice. With a waterfall, a museum and an orientation table, it offers a superb panorama of the Baie des Anges and the Alps.

● Port Lympia. Built from 1748, it is divided into two parts: a commercial area and a marina housing boats and yachts.

● The beaches. Because the French Riviera is still synonymous with sunbathing and swimming in the Mediterranean, tourists in Nice enjoy settling on the beaches to sunbathe. And that's a good thing since the city is lined with more than 8 kilometres of beaches.

● The flower market. Installed Cours Selaya, it is a debauchery for the senses! The stalls with a thousand colours exhale delicious scents.

● The Hill of Cimiez. This area is like a village within the city with its villas, its centenary olive trees, its monastery, its museums (Matisse and archaeological), its Roman vestiges and above all its very appreciable calm.

● The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Tramway 1 will take you to the MAMAC and its rich collection of 1300 works of art offering a retrospective of Art since the 1950s.

● Old Nice. The old town is accessible from our hotel Nice Centre by tramway 1. There, let yourself go according to your desires in the colourful and charming narrow streets.

● Masséna Square. Real heart of the city, it is famous for its fountain of the sun and its famous bronze statues surrounding the marble statue of Apollo. Since 2007, it is also illuminated by the Sitting Tatoos by the artist Jaume Plensa. In other words, from our hotel So'co, all the treasures of the Côte d'Azur city will be offered to you.

Better still, the proximity of the train station will also allow you to visit all the charming villages of the Nice hinterland.

It is therefore on foot that you can discover the Nice Central Post Office, also called Thiers Post Office because of its location. This beautiful Art Deco building is worth a look for its remarkable architecture and its equally remarkable red brick decoration.

Just a few minutes walk from our three-star hotel you can admire the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas, whose style is reminiscent of the most beautiful Russian churches. It is also one of the most important outside Russia. In another style, the Church of Saint Joan of Arc adopts a very original architecture and will surprise you in its dazzling whiteness.

Finally, don't hesitate to visit the former South Station, now transformed into a resolutely modern media library.

The area is also full of small restaurants ideal for sampling the local cuisine. Indeed, it is unthinkable to leave without having tasted a pissaladière, a ratatouille, a salad niçoise or a pan bagnat. And don't forget to drink a chilled Provence rosé! For this, we have found two must-see addresses: the restaurants Voyageur Nissart and Lou Mourelec.
